Boardbit - The Analog

ā€œI just wanna play a game.ā€

Unique Iterated Trait - Rulebreaker

Coming from an iteration not beholden to quite the same story and rules as most, Boardbit has the ability to bend and break the rules of iterations whenever he wants, meaning that if he wants his Habit battery to all be board game pieces, they will be. If he wants lightning to hit someone, it will. This is extremely infuriating for other Habits.

Backstory

The Habit in this iteration figured that maybe picking an unstable host to start with might make things easier, especially with tormenting the people that host loved. Unfortunately, he picked the worst possible candidate in this iteration, inhabiting James. What makes this such a bad pick? Well, with Jamesā€™ instability, he killed off his friends just before Habit had a chance to inhabit him, leaving him with only one plaything.

Oh, you thought James was the plaything?

Oh no no, James immediately took being inhabited and ran with it, using Habitā€™s power for himself and essentially shoving the being to the back of his mind to join the other voices in his head. Habit was not pleased. James however? Well, it took him time to learn how to manipulate things around him, but the second he did, he started reiterating his dead friends into more cycles, reliving the events that led up to their deaths over and over again.

His Habit meanwhile, was reaching a breaking point. It was mind numbing to see the exact same thing over and over again with zero change! With no other option, he took over Jamesā€™ body while he was sleeping and sent out a sort of distress call to a more powerful entity demanding he do something about this injustice. To his surprise, the entity seemed to respond, as the very fabric of the iteration ripped in front of him, giving him a path into a whole new world to explore.

Not thinking of the possible consequences, he dove right in. Anything to escape the monotony of his home iteration! Little did he realize, he was also bringing with him the worst possible host, and a surprising threat out into the wider universe. Thereā€™s no putting that cat back into the bag.
