Deepbit - The Dredge

ā€œMan in general, if reduced to himself, is too wicked to be free.ā€

Unique Iterated Trait - Rift Tax

While he doesnā€™t have access to every single iteration rift, Deepbit can touch most of them, and as such, he can yank Habits out of them every now and then to devour. In addition to this, he is able to open temporary rifts when called upon, willing to give gifts in exchange for more Habits to devour.

Backstory

A Habit inhabiting a drowned Evan, whatā€™s the tactical use of that? He canā€™t go up on land, let alone breathe air, so why?

Well, itā€™s simple. He doesnā€™t need to. Deepbit is more like a giant anglerfish, extending his lures into other iterations as his way of hunting, each lure a Habit that has already fallen victim to joining his battery. Being that he is a deep sea eldritch monster, people in his home iteration have taken to worshipping him in a cult-like manner. He doesnā€™t mind that, if anything, he finds it kinda funny. Heā€™s not a god, but heā€™ll absolutely take the adoration of one.

Besides, becoming god is kind of his goal anyway.

Heā€™s close too! Thereā€™s just a couple small kinks in his plan. First off, heā€™s not the strongest Habit, and heā€™s mad about that. Second off, people keep asking him for things and distracting him with their petty little problems. Why canā€™t anyone solve their own problems anymore, theyā€™re all Habitā€™s for god's sake!

And of course, thereā€™s that one group from an iteration he screwed with that seems very insistent on getting soul refunds. He didnā€™t even take their souls dammit, he just killed off their Jeff for a quick laugh. Do they not know that souls arenā€™t how Habit batteries work?

Apparently not, and since they donā€™t have to hop iterations to get to him, all he can do is wait for them to enter the waters of his territory. He canā€™t reach them otherwise. How infuriating!
