Evan Corenthal - The True Voyeur
āBartering with the devil? Well youāre brave.ā
Unique Iterated Trait - Habitless Inhabitation
This Evan did have a Habit at first, primed to go down the same path as the majority of other Evans. Where he differs is the removal of his Habit by his father. With the entire procedure requiring carving and branding certain symbols into his body, Evan now is a sort of walking blender. Any Habit that tries to inhabit him is shredded to piecesā¦ Kinda.
Backstory
Inhabited from Birth, Evan Corenthal was dealt a pretty shitty hand. His father did his best dealing with Habit, but thanks to some subliminal nudges from Stygian, Evan was uninhabited. Sounds great right? Not for Evan! He lost a lot of things the day he was uninhabited, his Habit, his father, but most importantly, his mind.
He spent his time in his home iteration wobbling on the edge of sanity, but he was mostly okayā¦ Until a Habit from another iteration hopped through a rift and decided to try and take him over. After all, heās got no Habit, heās a free host! Unfortunately for that Habit, the torment and torture this Evan had gone through wasnāt pointless, shredding the Habit to pieces the second he attempted to inhabit Evan.
Evan Corenthalās breaking point was after a couple inhabitation attempts. All of the little shredded pieces of Habit he was unknowingly keeping contained started whispering to him. Little urges here and there. Trip Vinnie for fun, light that doghouse on fire, punch your girlfriend. Things kept escalating until he unintentionally killed one of his friendsā¦ And he got a bit of a taste for it.
The Habit fragments in his skull drove him to darker and darker places. Make friends with that Habit, sheās already depressed. What about that one, he seems in need of constant approval. These two seem to know things about other iterations, make friends with them for that. Aww, what a cute little bunny Habit, throw him in the microwave!
It was in befriending Voyeurbit that he knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to find his dad. He wanted to find his Habit. Not to get reinhabited or anything, but to torment him in return for all the shit heās had to go through in his life.
This doesnāt excuse his own actions. After all, heās not inhabited by a single, solid Habit. It wasnāt Habit that made him beat someone to death for cutting him off in traffic. It wasnāt Habit that made him stomp on a smaller Habit for fun. And it definitely isnāt Habit thatās driving him to seek out other Habits to destroy.
